Abstract

The tender is for the repair and external redecoration (or cleaning where specified) of the component items as detailed in the tender specification of approximately 570 dwellings during the first year of the contract. This will be followed by similar quantity of properties for year 2 of the contract to the same specification. The works comprise of pre-painting repairs and external repainting of council owned dwellings as per the property schedule & specification. The majority of work required will be the external redecoration of properties which will include: Facias Soffits Barge boards Existing external painted render & brick Outhouse doors & frames inc external Wc’s Outhouse windows Rainwater pipe Timber fences & steel/galvanized railings Garage doors & frames (where attached to a dwelling) Bin stores Canopies where previously painted The contractor will also ensure that the following components are repaired (where specified) prior to painting as identified in the schedule of repair works: Facias Soffits Barge boards Outhouse doors & frames inc Wc’s Outhouse windows Rainwater pipe Timber fences
