Harborough District Council is seeking to procure the services of a suitably qualified provider to operate and manage its two leisure centres at Lutterworth and Market Harborough. The Council is committed to high quality leisure provision and is seeking to appoint a new partner for continued provision of the leisure services from 1.4.2019 until 31.3.2022 with the option of an extension of 12 months.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Council currently operates Leisure facilities at Market Harborough and Lutterworth through a contract which comes to an end on 31.3.2019. As a result the Council is seeking to appoint a new partner for continued provision of the leisure services from 1.4.2019 until 31.3.2022 with the option of an extension of 12 months.
The Council is exploring options that will deliver its long term vision for Leisure provision across the District of Harborough and expects to tender for a longer term contract of at least 20 years duration once the options for future provision have been explored fully and a strategy for long term provision has been agreed. This will be undertaken as a separate procurement exercise.
