Abstract

Construction of a new Children's Hospital on the Royal Hospitals Site, Belfast. The new hospital will be circa 52 000 m2 and includes 12 floors of accommodation including basement areas for services and receipt and distribution, 10 floors of clinical accommodation and roof top plant areas. The works will also include the upgrade of elements of the site wide engineering infrastructure which serves the Royal Hospitals Site. Construction is due to commence in April 2021 with a construction period of 48 months plus a 6 month post construction/pre-handover period for conclusion of contractor's commissioning of engineering services. This procurement is governed by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and provides for economic operators who have suffered, or who risk suffering, loss, or damage, as a consequence of an alleged breach of the duty owed in accordance with Regulation 91 to start proceedings in the High Court. A standstill period will commence at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide information on the award decision.
