Abstract

The contract being tendered is for 3 years in duration from 1.8.2019 until 31.7.2022, with the option to extend the contract term for a further term of up to 2 years and will operate as a fixed price contract, with the supplier invoicing the client for one-twelfth of the annual cost on a monthly basis.

Current costs are in the region of 61 000,00 GBP + VAT per annum. Whilst the client prioritise value for money as a key objective of the competitive tender process, the governing body is not obliged to accept the lowest price.

We expect the successful supplier to be able to bring innovation and excellence as part of the contractual relationship, as well as the desire to be proactive in the management of the security services contract moving into this contractual term.

It is the objective of this tender for the successful supplier to have in place a management support structure, site supervision and relief cover as required that ensures that all locations are kept secure at all times and that the required specification is achieved consistently.

The client’s objectives:

— to build upon the already improved standards of security at the college,

— to receive a service that complies with the service standards,

— to maintain a secure working environment for all students and staff at the college,

— to receive proactive management support for the security staff,

— to hold regular review meetings with the successful supplier,

— to achieve overall value for money.
