II.2.4) Description of the procurement
PDT's current access control system (ACS) has reached end of life. The procurement of a replacement (ACS) is to support PDT's security and operational functions for at least the next 10 years and be fully supported by both manufacturer and approved service providers. The system is to be designed to provide PDT with a platform to deliver access control functionality, but also enhance staff, site visitors and site users experience whilst on site.
PDT currently has multiple, non-integrated CCTV systems. Replacement with one CCTV SMS will provide audit, system and management data, as well as providing operational efficiency and enhance the overall effectiveness of the security operation. The replacement CCTV SMS system will integrate with the ACS to support the operation of PDT's control room to maximise the security of its operations.
