II.1.3) Type of contract

II.1.4) Short description
To provide maintenance for our office and digester boilers across the operational sites.
The purpose of our boilers is to provide heating to sites throughout the year to ensure our colleagues can work in a comfortable indoor environment within our office buildings regardless of the outside temperature. The boilers also enable the water in our pipes to be heated so hot water can be dispensed from our hot taps. This is especially important as our operational team rely on hot water to be available from the showers which act as welfare facilities.
We have 25 digester boilers which are used in the sludge treatment process to ensure compliant treatment and enough gas production. The boilers heat our digesters which is an essential process as without them it would not be possible to dispose of our treated sludge. This is necessary to achieve our 7 000 000 GBP energy generation business plan and prevent large mitigation costs for Yorkshire Water.
