Description of the contract
Wrexham County Borough Council invites interested parties to submit tenders to develop a Project Business Plan for the redevelopment of Wrexham Museum to incorporate a Football Museum of Wales.
The Business Plan will detail the likely costs associated with the operation of a larger Wrexham Museum facility incorporating the Football Museum for Wales in order to ensure that the proposed development is based on robust assumptions and that the new museum is not only of an appropriate quality but is also financially sustainable and resilient.
This landmark museum will broaden the appeal of heritage and engage with new audiences by developing visitor attraction / community space which combines both the history of football in Wales with the heritage of Wrexham County Borough, while ensuring that the museum is more resilient and sustainable in the future.
Wrexham County Borough Council is looking for a creative response to the Project Brief, together with proposed methodology indicating how the Project Brief will be interpreted and fulfilled along with details indicating relevant experience.
From the tenders received, up to 4 will be short-listed to make a presentation of their submissions. The presenters of the submission should be the proposed Project Team. Ideally presentations will be made in person, however, due to the ongoing health emergency (Covid-19) this may not be possible, so a remote solution will be utilised instead.
Submissions should provide a fixed lump sum proposal inclusive of all expenses, disbursements and contingencies.
The maximum available budget is £50,000 and any submissions over £50,000 will exclude the bid from evaluation and consideration for award of contract. Tenderers are encouraged to submit a competitive pricing proposal to maximise their chances of success with the price element accounting for 30% of the available marks.
Full details of the project and indicative timescales are available within the Invitation to Tender documentation.
