II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This procurement activity intends to award the supply of a range of water treatment chemicals to Yorkshire Water to one or many suppliers. The total estimated value of the award ranges between GBP 288 million and GBP 530 million over an 8-year period. The value range is due to the testing of alternative technologies and catchment solutions to comply with the requirements of the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive and the Water Framework Directive; the results of which are, as yet, unknown.
