Installation of a Hydrogen Refueller at Mackerel Quay, Milford Haven Marina, Milford Haven, SA73 3BH

Description of the goods or services required

As part of the MH:EK project Pembrokeshire CC are commissioning a Hydrogen car refuelling station to be located on Mackerel Quay, Milford Waterfront, Milford Haven. The core purpose is to produce green electrolysed hydrogen on site using the electricity from the Ports solar PV systems already installed in the immediate area. When local PV solar power is not available the system will use grid electricity sourced via a renewable electricity tariff. The green hydrogen will be used to fuel two Riversimple Rasa Hydrogen Fell Cell Electric Vehicles.

The complete hydrogen refueller and all associated works (including electrolysers, compressors,water treatment units, dryer units as necessary to electrolyse, store and dispense green hydrogen on site), must be supplied as a turnkey package by the Provider including all mechanical, electrical,structural, civils and builders work to provide a complete, commissioned, working, supported, maintained and compliant system including for removing the complete system and leaving the site in a safe fashion at the end of the project.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The refueller is to serve 2 x Riversimple Rasa fuel cell electric cars with 1.5kg tanks at 350 bar. The Rasa’s range is 300+ miles per fill. For tender purposes the system is intended for private demonstration for the two Rasa cars.
