The service will facilitate opportunities for young carers to meet other young carers for peer support and to build friendships as well as foster relationships and links within local communities. It is proposed that the service will deliver the young carers ID card in Flintshire, which will comply with local and national directives and aims to be a key tool for young carers in being recognising and receiving appropriate support in key settings such as primary care, education and the local community. There is also an expectation that the support services will be delivered with a strong collaborative ethos by working with key stakeholders in order to deliver the right support for young carers.
