Abstract

The aim of this procurement is to appoint a supplier to design and deliver a leadership programme for Elected Members during the period January 2021 – March 2023 with the potential of extending for a further year to March 2024. The main aim of the Leadership Academy – Elected Members’ Leadership Programme for Wales is to work to increase the leadership capacity of Welsh councils and has the following specific objectives: • To enable elected members to develop, maintain and use relationships (both internal and external) to provide effective leadership at the political, organisational and wider community levels • To give elected members greater ability to shape powerful and persuasive political visions of the future and how to lead and manage complex change to improve effectiveness and efficiency • To give elected members a greater ability to communicate with, and provide leadership to their communities and within partnerships to achieve growth and prosperity. The objective for the Successful Bidder will be the design and delivery of a programme which focuses on developing Elected Members within the contextual nature of local government leadership.
