Abstract

The Trust's expectations are high and they are looking for a catering contractor who has the same aims and aspirations as the schools do. They do seek value for money but that does not mean they will choose the cheapest quote possible. They are seeking a partner who will be willing to undertake extra work and be flexible in approach when dealing with certain key events throughout the school year. The aim of the Trust is to award one contractor the contract for catering services at all schools listed in the ‘Place of Performance.’

However this does not mean that the Trust is obliged to and they may decide to award individual contractors for groups of Schools or single Schools. Should this be the case, then potential successful contractors would be approached first for discussion and confirmation that they are happy to be awarded the schools who wish to award them their catering contract.

The contract is for an initial period of 3 years, with two optional 1-year extensions. The bidding contractors must be able to show a proven track record of operating similar contracts within budgets and guidelines.
