Additional Non Recurrent Funding to Existing General Dental Services Contracts for Cardiff and Vale

Description of the goods or services required

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to award additional non recurrent funding to existing General Dental Services contracts.

The Health Board (C&VUHB) is working to address health inequalities and dental access issues within its boundaries and is, therefore, seeking to commission high quality NHS General Dental Service (GDS) to be delivered within existing GDS contracts in primary care settings for patients residing within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan following the release of non-recurrent Reset & Recovery funding for activity to be delivered by 31st March 2022.

Non-recurrent contract increases would be offered under the terms of The National Health Service (General Dental Services Agreements) (Wales) Regulations 2006. Providers must therefore meet all the legal requirements of the General Dental Services (GDS) agreement and have recent demonstrable experience of successful delivery of NHS General Dental Services.

The Health Board reserves the right to evaluate part bids and award proportion of the funding in a ranked evaluation.

The period of any ensuing contract will be from award (anticipated 1st October 2021) until the 31st March 2022 as this is non recurrent funding.

Please note additional information on this procurement:

1. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

2. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Contracting Authority will not negotiate the terms.

3. The Contracting Authority will not accept completed ITT's after the stated closing date.

4. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling.

5. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders.
