NIE Networks are invited tender submissions across for sale of scrap metal across 4 lots:
• Lot 1 - Sale of Scrap from Distribution Substations
• Lot 2 - Sale of Scrap High Voltage Switchgear and Power Transformers (throughout Northern Ireland)
• Lot 3 - Sale of Scrap Distribution Transformers and Miscellaneous Plant Workshop Silverwood
• Lot 4 - Sale of Scrap Cables & Steelwork from NIE Networks Store Locations
The contract duration shall be for 3 years with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years.

o Skips left at work sites for collection of steelwork and/or cables as required throughout Northern Ireland
o Lockable skips left at NIE Networks contractor locations for cable collections
The types of material to be uplifted shall include underground cables, overhead conductors, and galvanised steelwork. All skips relating to copper and Contractor cable skips must be lockable.
