Abstract

Business Wales provides a first class business support service to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The service is delivered by Growth Partnership Wales, a partnership of Business in Focus, Antur Teifi and Serco Regional Service Ltd. Delivered by Serco Regional Services Ltd the Superfast Business Wales is a service element of Business Wales, which started in January 2016. It supports eligible businesses across Wales to understand, adopt and exploit the benefits of Superfast Broadband. The successful supplier will be required to work in partnership with the in-house SFBW marketing team to promote the Superfast Business Wales service to local businesses and partners from across Wales. All collateral needs to be relevant to our target audience*, helping to drive people to our website and through our service. Requirement Serco Enterprise is seeking a formal costed quote from experienced freelance Journalists/copywriter professionals or agencies to create written case studies that will highlight the real business benefits of utilising superfast broadband and the technologies it enables. Case Studies The work required will focus entirely on businesses based in Wales. We would require a dedicated individual to carry out the role autonomously; however there will be a full briefing process prior to starting the project. The case studies are being created on behalf of Welsh Government and will be shared on the Superfast Business Wales website and therefore will need to follow the brief and guidelines provided. - Up to 20 written case studies over 11 months where possible including photography commissioned or provided by the company. - Case studies once signed off need to be provided in English and fit the brief provided Essential skills required are: - Journalistic approach to uncovering information (case studies) - Ability to write factually and informatively for the SME business market and a range of sectors - Ability to write engaging and interesting content that appeals to business owners - Speak informatively about IT and wide ranging technology use in business from a range of sectors - Understand the business benefits of faster broadband connectivity Desired skills will include: - Proven track record in writing digital technology focused case studies - Photography The project will run from November 2021 until September 2022. The requirement for case studies will flex throughout this period and may finish ahead of the project end date. Serco Enterprise will expect to retain ownership of all written content and artwork produced for use on this service. Contract Award The successful organisation will be awarded a Contract, which is expected to commence in November 2021 through to the conclusion of the Superfast Business Wales service in September 2022, subject to performance reviews and availability of funding. Additional Information

The successful organisation will be required to sign up to the Serco Supplier Code of Conduct, a copy of which isavailable with the tender document. In addition the successful organisation will receive a contract from Serco andthese terms and conditions are also available with the tender document. Any queries with the content of the termsand conditions must be raised prior to submitting the tender document. Should Serco be required to sign anyagreement or paperwork if you were successful, then the details must be supplied as part of your tendersubmission. The deadline for clarification questions is 12pm 8th October 2021.
