A hydrogen fuel cell system (200-250kW) is required to integrate to form the proposed hybrid propulsion system and to deliver the DragonFLY project outputs and final deliverables. The hydrogen fuel cell system will be delivered to Cardiff University’s newly developed Hydrogen and Electric Propulsion Innovation Centre (HEPIC) at St Athan, Wales to perform the required research activities.
Suppliers must be able to provide two units of a minimum of 100kW per unit with required accessories to operate as an integrated (combined, 200-250kW) system or as separate individual systems. These individual systems must comprise a DC/DC converter as integrated units to provide 800VDC output after DC/DC.
