Abstract

The British Council is looking for one producer to create the following content:Selector weekly shows feature the best in new UK music, alongside interviews and exclusive live sessions from some of the most exciting British artists. The Selector After Dark show, created in partnership with our friends at Ibero 90.9FM in Mexico City, brings the sound of the UK’s club and DJ scene and invites a top UK DJ to provide a one-hour mix. This is also broadcast as a separate show every week with a 15-minute version of the upcoming mix featured in each Selector Radio show. The music is curated by the current presenter, Jamz Supernova with a production team .The show regularly includes features about key UK sector music and landmark cultural events, and takes deep dives into different musical scenes, cities, and cultural focuses around landmark events in which music has had a significant role and impact.Recent examples include: A Northern Ireland special marking 25 years of the Good Friday Peace Agreement; a feature on the new UK folk scene; a celebration of International Women’s Day .Selector has a commitment to being inclusive. We support gender equality, and represent artists from LGBTQ, deaf and disabled communities.Selector Sessions, two filmed tracks and interviews with UK bands in the studio or at key live events, are hosted on our British Council Arts YouTube channel. These have become an integral part of the channel, building an engaged audience.
