Abstract

The Supplier is required to provide third party cleaning operations covering the GWR network. The types of services undertaken are split into four service categories:

(a) Train cleaning including Planned/Periodic Heavy Clean (PHC), overnight, Turnround and Depot operations.

(b) In-transit cleaning operations,

(c) Station cleaning operations (including Washrooms, Shelters,1st Class Lounges, sleeper lounge and all Car Parks), and

(d) All back of house areas including, Train / Driver Crew Offices, HQ, Engineering depots and occupational health locations.

The Supplier will be required to align cleaning requirements to train timetable changes for the Customer (due in May and December each year), to ensure "In transit" cleaning is maintained at the correct levels across the whole network, to meet current outputs and standards as well as managing reduced turnaround times at all stations going forward. There may also be some changes to cater for special events. For such events, additional trains may be put in place, or trains may convey more carriages. Although such arrangements are usually planned, there will need to be some degree of flexibility to deal with any impact upon workload.

(b) In-transit cleaning operations,

(c) Station cleaning operations (including Washrooms, HQ/ Back Office, 1st Class Lounges and Car Parks)

(d) Train / Driver Crew Offices.

The Supplier will be required to align cleaning requirements to train timetable changes for the Customer (due in May and December each year), to ensure "In transit" cleaning is maintained at the correct levels across the whole network, to meet current outputs and standards as well as managing reduced turnaround times at all stations going forward.
