Hyppo Hydrogen Solutions Ltd invites tenders for the supply of a zero-emission bus, either battery-electric or hydrogen fuel cell-powered, to support demonstration and operational activities at Bay Studios, Swansea.

The bus must meet UK road vehicle specifications, be less than 8 years old, and be supplied at a total purchase price of less than £150,000 (exclusive of VAT).

The procurement forms part of Hyppo’s work on clean mobility and smart energy systems. The vehicle will be used for trialling hydrogen and electric fleet operations, V2G integration, and low-emission transport demonstrations.

• Vehicle Specification

o Zero-emission (battery-electric or hydrogen fuel cell).

o UK-compliant passenger bus, less than 8 years old.

o Seating capacity: minimum 25 passengers (midi or single-deck configuration).

o Wheelchair accessible in line with Public Service Vehicle Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR).

o Safety compliance: UK road standards, MOT-ready, and type-approved.

• Performance

o Minimum range:

 Electric: ≥100 miles per full charge.

 Hydrogen: ≥200 miles per refuelling.

o Charging/refuelling interface compatible with UK infrastructure:

 CCS2 (electric).

 SAE J2601 / UK hydrogen refuelling standard (hydrogen).

o Capable of integration with V2G charging (where applicable).

• Condition

o Less than 8 years old from date of first registration.

o Full service history required.

o Batteries/fuel cell stack must have minimum 5 years/70% performance guarantee.

• Delivery & Handover

o Vehicle to be delivered to Bay Studios, Swansea.

o Supplier to provide familiarisation training for drivers and maintenance staff.

o Documentation: manuals, service requirements, and warranty certificates.

• The successful supplier will be appointed under a Supply of Goods Contract.

• Vehicle must comply with all UK road safety and emissions standards.

• Payment will be made on satisfactory delivery, inspection, and acceptance of the vehicle.
