Abstract

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust wishes to commission an area-wide residents’ travel behaviour and attitude "push-to-online" survey in up to 16 areas across the UK. The survey will gather data related to travel behaviour, satisfaction and attitudes about a range of issues related to walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport in their area among a representative sample of residents. The successful contractor will design a research methodology and questionnaire tools compatible with the previous methodology and questionnaire, conduct the survey fieldwork, clean and analyse the data and return specified outputs to Walk Wheel Cycle Trust for further analysis and modelling. Walk Wheel Cycle Trust intends to commission for one iteration of fieldwork in 2027. Please see Invitation to Tender for further details.

Description of the goods or services required

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust wishes to commission an area-wide residents’ travel behaviour and attitude "push-to-online" survey in up to 16 areas across the UK.

The survey will gather data related to travel behaviour, satisfaction and attitudes about a range of issues related to walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport in their area among a representative sample of residents. Note that this opportunity relates to work in 16 areas across the UK (including Corporate Joint Committee North Wales (Isle of Anglesey, Conwyy County Borough, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, and Wrexham County Borough and Snowdonia National Park Authority)) and is not limited to Wales only.

The survey will gather data related to travel behaviour, satisfaction and attitudes about a range of issues related to walking, wheeling, cycling and public transport in their area among a representative sample of residents. Each survey to secure at least 1,100 respondents. The successful contractor will design a research methodology and questionnaire tools compatible with the previous methodology and questionnaire, conduct the survey fieldwork, clean and analyse the data and return specified outputs to Walk Wheel Cycle Trust for further analysis and modelling.

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust intends to commission for one iteration of fieldwork in 2027.

Note that we are procuring for a single supplier framework, and there may be variations in the number of areas. Total value maximum of £675,000 for the core costs of the contract, based on the number of areas above.

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust is not currently considered to be a ‘contracting authority’ under The Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Walk Wheel Cycle Trust has opted to publish this notice on a voluntary basis and its intention is to comply voluntarily with the principles set out in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 in this procurement: however, this does not bind Walk Wheel Cycle Trust contractually in relation to the process.

Note that this opportunity relates to work in 16 areas across the UK (including Corporate Joint Committee North Wales (Isle of Anglesey, Conwyy County Borough, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, and Wrexham County Borough and Snowdonia National Park Authority)) and is not limited to Wales only.
