Abstract

A procurement exercise was previously carried out for this contract and the opportunity to bid again has become available. As the UK ETS expands and develops, it is important to learn from the impact of other schemes and policies around the world. We require a rigorous and comprehensive systematic review of Carbon pricing policies (including but not limited to emissions trading) implemented or considered in other parts of the world, mitigation policies to alleviate disproportionate impacts of carbon pricing policies on economically or socially vulnerable group, and public perceptions and receptiveness to carbon pricing policies.
