Abstract

Theatr Mwldan is seeking to procure the services of a qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the replacement of a house lighting control system. You are invited to submit a tender for the supply, installation, programming and commissioning of lighting control system for a three auditoria cinema and theatre. To replace three obsolete Quantran house lighting dimmers and controllers with switching on stage, in control rooms and projector rooms. To include automation and fire alarm interfaces. To work within the following standards: The DALI Alliance (DiiA): The definitive global industry organisation for the Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI). They govern the DALI-2 and D4i standards, certifying that components from different brands can seamlessly communicate on the same network bus. International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC): The global standardisation body responsible for IEC 62386, the core international standard that formally defines DALI technical foundations. ESTA (Entertainment Services and Technology Association): Through its Technical Standards Program, ESTA maintains the DMX512 and RDM protocols, which are the standard governing frameworks for theatrical, architectural, and dynamic colour-changing lighting.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Site visit essential prior to submission.

-Adherence to the standards published by the following bodies:

- The Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT

- The British Standards Institution (BSI.

- The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

- The Society of Light and Lighting (SLL / CIBSE)

Must meet all current Building regs. Part B & Fire and Safety.

Insurance: Evidence of adequate insurance, or self certification that required insurance will be in place if awarded the contract.

Guarantee: 5 year minimum on manufactured items and components, and a 1-2 year guarantee on workmanship

Handover Requirements: Payment clauses must depend on a 100% pass mark using independent consultant, 5% payment held until the expiration of a 12-month defects liability period.
