The procurement is for the continued provision of the CareCubed Adults Calculator, an evidence-based care costing and fee negotiation tool used by the Council's Strategic Procurement and Brokerage Team. The service supports the assessment and review of adult social care placement costs, facilitates transparent and consistent fee negotiations with care providers, and provides benchmarking and market intelligence to support value for money.
The requirement comprises a software subscription, user access, system support, maintenance, and ongoing updates for use across adult social care commissioning and brokerage activities.

Explanation
The contract was awarded under the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud 14 framework agreement (RM1557.14). The framework was established following a competitive procurement process and permits contracting authorities to award call-off contracts in accordance with the framework rules without publishing a separate contract notice. Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council completed a compliant direct award process through the G-Cloud 14 Digital Marketplace and awarded the contract to the supplier offering the most economically advantageous solution that met the Council's requirements.
