The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board sought to establish a contract for the purchase of a Genetics LIMS Database with associated maintenance, training and support as they have been allocated capital funding from the Welsh Government.
The objectives of the procurement can be summarised as follows:
1. Procure a future proof LIMS solution to replace all existing management data systems.
2. Procure a system that is ‘good value for money’
3. Deliver the identified benefits
4. Implement a fully supported solution within the required timescales

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board will allow a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period between notifying the award decision and awarding the contract.
