Abstract

Denbighshire County Council is seeking to procure the services of an Engagement Consultant to assist in delivering a range of public engagement and consultation activities around 3 LUF schemes in Ruthin: The St Peter’s Square project: A scheme of public realm improvements to improve pedestrian and traffic flows around the square and to facilitate a more flexible central events space. The Council has identified a high number of residents and businesses which could be directly impacted by any layout or access changes to St Peter’s Square and surrounding streets. The Council will require the assistance of the Engagement Consultant to ensure that a high percentage of owner/occupiers of identified premises are aware of the opportunity to feed into the project development Cae Ddol: A scheme of public realm improvements seeking to improve connectivity through the park and between the park and the town centre. Improvements to the entrance and car park and leisure offer within the park. Proposed improvements to the leisure offer include a potential review of the play or exercise equipment within Cae Ddol park. The Council has identified young people as a key stakeholder for this element and requires the assistance of an Engagement Consultant to carry out workshops in local Ruthin schools. Ruthin Clock Tower: A programme of repair and reconsolidation to include restoration of the clock-dials of the grade 2 listed clock tower with replacement dial fixings. Consultation is not required for this project but engaging local residents with the heritage of this structure is important and as such the project will be included as part of wider information-giving sessions and Council publicity For full information please refer to the Invitation to Tender document.
