Title

Services to support de-brief and mediation for children and young people reported as 'missing'

Description of the goods or services required

A flexible de-briefing service is required 52 weeks of the year, 7 days per week to cover the counties of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Powys with all referrals being responded to within 72 hours. Both family mediation and group work with the child / young person will take place at mutually agreed times.

The criteria for de-briefs will need to be set in due course and professional judgment will also need to be applied. Criteria commonly used includes:

• 1st missing episode

• Repeat(e.g. 5 or more) within set period

• Where issues of Children at risk of Sexual Exploitation have been identified

The service specification will apply to children / young people aged 18 and under regardless of gender, ethnic origin, language, religion, sexual orientation and disability.

The service will be located at Police Stations within Dyfed-Powys at locations to be agreed with the provider, working within the Protecting Vulnerable People department. The successful contractor’s staff will be situated there as a base for the duration of the contract, whilst visiting clients off site as and when required.
