Description of the goods or services required
All internal works necessary to provide works of adaptation suitable to the individual needs of the tenant. Works include the installation of walk in showers, internal alterations to doorways, provision of additional lighting, kitchen adaptations. Fitting walk-in showers and all works within the bathroom and kitchen to accommodate this.

Total quantity or scope of tender
The works covered by these schedules of rates comprise the installation of showers and associated internal adaptations in Valleys to Coast owned housing properties.
Approximate anticipated minimum value of work to be carried out under the Contract: £100,000 for the Contract Period.
Approximate anticipated maximum value of work to be carried out under the Contract: £300,000 for the Contract Period.
However, since by its nature much of the work is demand-led, no guarantee can be given that the value of work actually awarded within the Contract Period will realise these values.
Valleys to Coast will be entitled, if it considers such a course to be appropriate in the interests of achieving value for money, to accept more than one of the tenders submitted and to allocate work to Tenderers in succession.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required
Electrical repairs must be carried out by contractors registered by National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) or Electrical Contractors Association (ECA).
Gas maintenance and servicing must be carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers
