Abstract

Minesto wish to appoint a suitable company to provide Concept, Design and fabrication of a Seabed Foundation for the DG500 tidal Energy Kite project at Holyhead Deep (90m depth), off the coast of Anglesey, North Wales. This foundation is intended to form the anchor point for the connecting Tether and power/control umbilical cables for the DG500 tidal energy kite. It will also act as a secure mounting to deal with the variable forces outlined in the specification. Seabed Foundation - Design and Fabrication

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

This foundation is intended to form the anchor point for the connecting Tether and power/control umbilical cables for the DG500 tidal energy kite. It will also act as a secure mounting to deal with the variable forces outlined in the specification.

23/05/2016 15:49	IMPORTANT- info regarding tender process Due to ambiguities in the text defining the point of time for the deadline of the tender submission, namely that it was not stated if it was 10.00 o’clock AM or PM, we were contacted by suppliers who had been unable to submit their tenders. After discussion with Sell2Wales, the unclarity was indeed confirmed and for this reason, we now reopen the tender process. Suppliers who already sent in their tender do not need to re-submit but may do so if they wish to. In such case, please indicate if you have made any alterations to your previous submission. Failure to indicate changes will imply the exclusive consideration of the initial submission. Suppliers who suffered from the abovementioned issue are invited to re-submit before 11.00 pm on Tuesday, 24th May, by e-mail to purchase@minesto.com. No tenders have been reviewed or evaluated so far. Evaluation of all tenders will take place after closing of this second submission. This situation will require a changed award date. We expect to award latest 8/6
