Abstract

Conwy County Borough Council is seeking a suitable Contractor to undertake the associated groundworks, supply, deliver and install a new 3G pitch, ball stop perimeter fencing and floodlight lighting system at Parc Eirias (Eirias Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, LL29 7SP) and also to remove and dispose of any excess excavated ground or waste material in an environmentally sound manner. The requirements of this project include: - • Site establishment. • Site clearance, excavation and groundworks. • Site drainage supply and installation. • Pitch base supply, delivery and installation. • 3G pitch playing surface supply, delivery and installation. • Perimeter ball stop fencing supply, delivery and installation. • Floodlights supply, delivery and installation. • Reinstatement. • Removal and disposal of site waste materials in an environmentally sound manner. A Prior Information: Project Requirement Overview document has been prepared for Suppliers to gauge the requirements of the project. The full specification and contract requirements for this project will be provided in the tender documents which will be available to Suppliers once they are uploaded to this contract notice week commencing 25 April 2016.

2.1 Title

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

The successful Supplier will be encouraged to secure value-added and positive outcomes that would benefit the community.

Examples of sustainable Community Initiatives for this project include: -

• Support and contribute towards the reclamation of the overgrow ecology sites at Parc Eirias.

• Support and contribute towards wildflower planting and other planting at Parc Eirias.

• Sponsorship of the first season of junior football or rugby on the new 3G pitch at Parc Eirias.

• Contribute to the surrounding community any surplus materials from the site to refurbish a community playing pitch.

29/04/2016 13:38	Procurement Process Update Please be advised that Conwy County Borough Council will be unable to publish the full tender documentation pack this week (week commencing 25 April 2016) as the technical information is still being processed to form the final tender documents. The proposed procurement timetable for this project that was shared with Suppliers in the Prior Information – Project Requirement Overview document has now altered due to the delay experienced with publishing the tender documents. The revised proposed procurement timetable for this project can be found in the Parc Eirias 3G Pitch - Site Visit Information and Update document. As previously stated, this is intended as a guide and whilst the Authority does not intend to depart from the timetable, it reserves the right to do so at any time. If any further delays are experienced then Suppliers will be informed of the delays.
