Description of the goods or services required

1 The objective of the tendering process is to procure a Traffic Management Contractor to provide Traffic Management function to the Main Contractor works for Gwynedd Civil Engineering.

2 The Traffic Management subcontractor shall provide the following Traffic Management criteria for the following phases;

•A55 Anglesey Phase 10 Carriageway Major Maintenance

Crossing point locations at Marker Post (MP) Reference 23/8, length of Crossover 96m to MP 23/8+96

MP Ref. 17/8 +64 length of Crossover 96m to MP 17/9+60

N.B. All the following Marker Post References are approximate to the nearest Marker Post

Limits of carriageway maintenance works approx. 23/8 at Eastern end and 17/9 at Western end.

Slip road closure requirements – Junction 6 Nant Turnpike West and Eastbound on and off slip roads

Junction 6 W/B start of off slip at MP Ref. 23/7 end of on slip at MP Ref. 22/5

Junction 6 E/B start of off slip at MP Ref. 22/6 end of on slip at MP Ref. 23/6

Overhead power lines at two locations, between MP Ref. 23/6 and MP Ref. 23/7 between MP Ref.19/7 and MP Ref. 19/8

3 The proposed works will be carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the NEC4 engineering and construction short subcontract.

Removal, re-installation and

re-tensioning of WRSF at crossover points 17/9 and 23/8.

Installation, maintenance and removal of Abnormal Load signage and bespoke signs for diversions

Installation, maintenance and removal of Traffic Management for closure of Junction 6 West Bound off and on slip roads, including diversion route signage and Junction 6 W/B, slip roads closure date signage.

Minimum standards and qualification required

Please see Qualification Section on etenderwales for conditions of participation. were there are Pass/fail criteria to responded to.

The Traffic Management Subcontractor must have the following sector scheme accreditations 12A, 12b, 12C and 12D, and must have the sufficient trained TSCO for the durtation of the works.
