Minimum standards and qualification required
Tendering Organisations are required to:
Have a turnover of £400,000 or greater in the last two (2) most recently completed financial years.
Have in place public liability and employers' liability insurance cover of a minimum of £10,000,000.
Hold a Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) accreditation including principal contractor status.
Hold or have a sub-contractor that holds an upper tier waste carrier's licence.
Have relevant operatives (employed by the Contractor and or their sub-contractors) Gas Safe Registered or equivalent for the following competencies:
CCN1 – Core Gas safety
CEN1 – Central Heating Boilers
CENWAT – Domestic central heating and instantaneous water heaters
CKR1 – Domestic cookers
HTR1 – Domestic Space heaters
MET1 – Domestic meters
MET2 – Domestic Meters
Hold or have a sub-contractor that holds accreditation and training for the installation of BMI ICOPAL system or equivalent for the Tendering Organisation or sub-contractor.
Hold or have a sub-contractor that holds a Registration Certificate from any one of the MCS approved full-scope Competent Person Schemes for Solar PV Installation such as Certsure (NICEIC or ELECSA), NAPIT, Stroma or equivalent recognised professional body for Tendering Organisation or sub-contractor.
Hold or have a sub-contractor that holds a Registration Certificate from any one of the MCS approved full-scope Competent Person Schemes for Solar Thermal Installation such as Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC), Certsure (NICEIC or ELECSA), HETAS, NAPIT, OFTEC, Stroma or equivalent recognised professional body for Tendering Organisation or sub-contractor.
Have Up-to-date Non-Licensed Asbestos Works training certificate from a training provider accredited by one of the following bodies UKATA, IATP, BOHS, ASHEeLA or equivalent for all relevant employees and sub-contractors employees.
