MTCBC Street Lighting Maintenance

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council requires a suitable and qualified Contractor to carry out street lighting maintenance throughout the County Borough.

The Contract is based upon a 3 day working week, with all materials free issue by the Contracting Authority.

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council was has upgraded all 7631 street lights to LED lanterns and a SELLTECK CMS monitoring system. There is a requirement to maintain and service all lanterns on ad-hoc basis. Maintenance will include but not be limited to; fuses, cut-out faults, cable faults supply faults. Column replacement as and when required will be actioned via works orders.

Generally, the service is required 3 days per week, but this may change/fluctuate throughout the period of the contract depending on demand for the service.
