Description of the goods or services required

Refurbishment of an existing playground sites in Swansea, South Wales. The purpose of this tender is to obtain a fixed rate price and illustrated layouts for the supply and installation of new playground equipment. Please utilise the Key Considerations for New Play Areas outlined within this document, to aid the design choices.

Site visits can be undertaken with prior appointment.

• Enabling and Removal Works - Grosvenor Heights

Remove the following: Train Multiplay Unit, single bay cradle seat swing and small trim trail.

• New Equipment and surfacing - Grosvenor Heights

Supply and install the following:

• 4 seat springer see saw (area vacated by train removal).

• 2 bay combi flat seat swing and cradle seat swing.

• 2 springers.

Climbing frame/activity unit suitable for teenagers to be installed on grass area outside of the main site with grass mat safety surfacing.

Wet pour Safety surfacing will need to be re configured to accommodate new equipment within the site.

Parry’s field - Supply and install the following:

• Basket swing

• Cradle seat/flat seat combi swings

• Carousel

• Grass mats safety surfacing.

Equipment provided for a variety of users and abilities from 6 to 14 years of age.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

For the purpose of submitting the proposal a detailed colour layout showing the exact location and dimension of each proposed item is required. All equipment to be constructed predominantly of steel and must comply with EN1176. All warranties for the equipment to be supplied as part of the submission process.

The budget is an indication of the maximum funding we have available for this scheme to enable you to provide the optimal design solution. Therefore, there is no requirement to quote the full budget as we will be undertaking a ‘best price’ evaluation calculation.

However, it is to be noted that submissions in excess of the maximum budget value, will be excluded from the evaluation process.

1. Register your company on the eTenderWales portal (this is only required once):

— Click the “ITTs Open to All Suppliers” link (these are the ITTs open to any registered supplier).

— Click on the relevant ITT to access the content.

— Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the left-hand side of the page.

— This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs” page (this is a secure area reserved for your projects only).

— Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer Attachments” in the “Actions” box.

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.

— There may be a mixture of online and offline actions for you to perform (there is detailed online help available).
