Abstract

Cardiff University Brain Research Imaging Centre invites tenders for an MRI radio-frequency coil that is compatible with a Siemens Magnetom 7 Tesla MRI system (VB17; step 2.3). This will include an array of receive elements for sodium (23Na) at 7 Tesla and a means of providing a 23Na B1 transmit field strength sufficient for a 180degree inversion across a human head. 1H capability is also required to permit conventional hydrogen MRI without the need to swap coils mid scan session.
