Abstract
The Welsh Network of Healthy School Schemes (WNHSS) is a grant funded initiative whereby local health boards/Local Authority areas employ healthy school practitioners to work directly with schools, helping them identify health improvement needs within the national framework. Schools then implement actions, addressing one or more of the seven health topics below.
•Mental and emotional health and well-being (including anti-bullying)
•Food and fitness (including oral health)
•Personal development and relationships (including sex and relationship education)
•Substance use and misuse (including tobacco, alcohol, legal and illegal drugs)
•Environment
•Safety
•Hygiene
The Client requires the successful contractor to recruit assessors and to manage the process of assessing schools for the NQA, from the nomination of the school through to providing a final assessment report.
