Solar Benches and Solar Shelters

Description of the goods or services required
Supply of a Wellbeing and skills development project with significant community benefit
including the design, supply, manufacture and installation of 27 solar benches and 6 solar shelters into parkland in RCT, Merthyr and Blaneau Gwent. The project must include an industry led training scheme creating experienced workforce and skills for sustainability jobs of today. Training to include Sustainable land management, Energy capture/storage, asset based community development. The Solar benches and shelters must be powered by solar panels and utilise battery storage to provide power for charging mobile phones and led lighting. Practical experience gained during the project must include: design, modelling and personalisation, various cutting tools, drilling and joining tools, routers, wiring tools, off grid solar power system installation, wiring, lighting.

The Community Benefits included in this contract are:The provision of local training to young members of the local community, deliver safe spaces with lighting and phone charging points for people within the community to benefit from, develop a skilled workforce in the community that will help develop the prosperity of the local community utilising skills developed in sustainability industries.
