Engagement process description
Velindre NHS Trust require a system capable of undertaking the following tests:
- calibration of radiation dosemeter and radioactive contamination meters
- Overload testing of Radiation Protection instruments
- Calibration of Gaf Chromic film
- Material attenuation coefficient testing
- Calibration of TLDs
- Development work requiring availability of a versatile X-ray source
- The equipment will need to deliver a highly controlled radiation beam generated at between 40 and 150 kVp with a range of radiation filtration options.
The above list is not exhaustive and additional tests may, or may not be required.
Virtual stakeholder events will take place during April 2025 to seek the view of the market on the requirement and to allow Procurement Services and Velindre NHS Trust to seek advice in the planning and conduct of the procurement. Dates will be confirmed following receipt of expressions of interest. Suppliers will be provided with further insight into the requirement and given the opportunity to ask questions.
