Healthy Child Wales Programme Evaluation

Description of the goods or services required

The aim is to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of the Healthy Child Wales Programme (HCWP). The HCWP is a universal health programme for all families with children; from conception to seven years of age. The programme identifies a minimum set of key interventions to all families with pre-school children, irrespective of need. At the core of the programme are three pillars of universal health contacts in the early years; immunisations, screening and the new, all Wales schedule of monitoring and child development contacts.

The evaluation will be for a period of 14 months, over a period of 20 months from the date of commencement, involving 2 phases of work. Through stakeholder engagement and using existing information collected through the child health system and health board quarterly monitoring returns.
