Abstract

We want to draw new audiences to enjoy our path and have received RTEF funding to create digital experiences at 7 locations across Wales locations -this could could include Augmented Reality, Virtual reality and/or other social media experiences. We hope that visitors will visit the path because of the digital experience but will then decide to explore further stretches and ‘collect’ all 7 digital experiences over time. Its aim is to bring an invisable element/story of phenomena to life and will be targeted towards our Active family explorer segment. We also want to be able to use the digital experience as a marketing tool so that visitors ‘share their experience on social media platforms and encourage family and friends to visit. As part of the experience we need to create an interpretation ‘panel’ on each of the sites to show visitors they have reached a gateway on the Wales Coast Path –this could be a physical panel, selfie location/frame or similar that give the visitor information/inspiration to enable engagement with the digtal experience.
