Bron Afon Community Housing Ltd ('Bron Afon') is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, skilled and accredited contractor to deliver re-roofing and associated external works to twenty-seven (27) blocks of flats and two (2) houses in Sebastopol, Pontypool.

Twenty-seven (27) blocks of flats and two (2) houses in Sebastopol, Pontypool.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Tendering Organisations must have a minimum of £10,000,000 Public Liability and Employer's Liability Insurance Cover.

Tendering Organisations are required to hold or employ a sub-contractor that holds the following accreditations:

Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) accreditation as a Principal Contractor.

Upper Tier Waste Carrier's Licence

Relevant operatives (employed by Tendering Organisation or their sub-contractor) gas safe registered or equivalent for the competencies set out in the Invitation to Tender.

Accredited as an installer for: IKO and Marley roofing systems; Acrypol balcony covering system; Thermabead cavity wall insulation system; Parex external wall insulation system; Helifix structural wall repair system.

Relevant operatives (employed by Tendering Organisation or their sub-contractor) holding a Non-Licensed Asbestos Works training certificate from a training provider accredited by one of the following bodies UKATA, IATP, BOHS, ASHEeLA or equivalent.

Registration Certificate from any one of the Government approved full-scope Competent Person Schemes for electrical works such as ELECSA, NICEIC, ECA, NAPIT or an equivalent recognised professional body.
