Abstract

Cardiff university requires the provision of a versatile handheld 3D scanning solution for several different applications across the school of Medicine. The proposed solution can include one or more scanners and must also be bundled with Design X for further modification and CAD design from the resulting scan data. The scanners are to be used to provide 3D scan imagery for that can assist in surgery, the manufacture of precise orthotics and prosthetics and for general reverse engineering of essential equipment.
