Abstract

Tenders are invited for the provision of a sensory support service in Denbighshire. We welcome bids from 1 single organisation, or a partnership/consortium with a lead organisation. The vision for this service is to rehabilitate and enable adults and children living with sensory loss or impairment to improve their independence, enhance their quality of life and general well-being. The service will also raise awareness of sensory loss within Denbighshire. For the purposes of this specification we use the phrase ‘living with sensory loss’ to include citizens who are visually impaired, blind, deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or Deaf blind. The service will place people with sensory loss at the centre of all activities, focussing on what matters to them, with a holistic view of individual needs. The service will provide reablement and rehabilitation, supporting citizens to learn or regain skills that increase independence, enabling them to do the things they choose to for themselves. The service will support those who may have lost skills or been unable to develop them as a result of their sensory loss or impairment. The service contract will be for the duration of 2 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years, subject to satisfactory service outcomes and performance reviews. This contract has TUPE implications.
