Abstract

The North Wales Wildlife Trust wishes to appoint a contractor to develop a brand and logo for the WaREN II project. This project will establish a sustainable and collaborative pan-Wales framework for tackling invasive issues in Wales. Invasive species are one of the main drivers of biodiversity decline globally. The environmental, economic and social impact of invasive species in Wales will continue to grow unless they are tackled with a sustainable and joined-up approach. That is the premise for WaREN II, which has the potential to be an exemplar and high-profile project in Wales and beyond. WaREN II will involve developing linkages between existing invasive species projects, initiatives and Local Action Groups. The project also aims to increase public engagement to raise the awareness of INNS through effective science communication. A WaREN II identity will therefore be important.
