VII.2) Information about modifications
VII.2.1) Description of the modifications
The modification to the contract is an extension in time to cover an extension in the project funding. As the project was expected to be finished in length no extension clause was considered. Due to an successful application for additional funding to extend the project the contract used to undertake the works needed to be extended to match. The funding has been extended to March 2024. No modifications to content or nature of work.

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
The timescales involved, the short notice for the extension of funding with the project and the routine daily nature of the service provided means that the only method to continue without a break of service was to extend the existing arrangement. This is purely an extension in time that would have been incorporated into the original tender had the availability or potential availability of additional funding had been known at the time of tender.
