Fabrication of Main Structure fo mWave Wave Energy Converter Demonstrator

Description of the goods or services required

Bombora wishes to appoint a contractor for the fabrication of the Main Structure for the mWave Wave Energy Converter Demonstration.

The Main Structure is the key structural element of the mWave Demonstrator. The primary function of the Main Structure is to secure the key assemblies and modules in a level position on the seabed. The Main Structure is a steel fabrication with approximate dimensions of 75m length, 15m width and 6m height. The Main Structure shall be delivered complete to Pembroke Dock.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The scope of the work is for the fabrication and delivery of one Main Structure for the mWave Demonstrator.

The contractor shall also have input into the Design of the Main Structure to ensure it is aligned with the Contractors requirements in order to successfully fabricate and deliver the Main Structure.

The contractor will be responsible for any logistics required in delivering the Main Structure to an area within the dockyard in Pembroke Dock
