Pontsarn Roof Replacement

MVH is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and competent roofing contractor to complete a full roof replacement of Pontsarn Flats, located at Pontsarn, Merthyr Tydfil, CF48 2TR. Pre-construction and specification information detailing the work required has been included at Appendix A. Bidders are advised to carry out a street level survey of the property in question in preparation of their bid, and must ensure that all costs required to deliver the works are included in their offer including but not limited to preliminary costs, labour, travel, welfare, management fees and tenant liaison whether expressly stated in the specification or not. No additional cost which could have been foreseen from a street level survey will be accepted by MVH. Bidders are offered to attend site on 5 or 10 December 2019. These are strictly by appointment only. All requests to visit are to be made directly to Zak Locke (zak.locke@mvhomes.org.uk).

The appointed contractor will be required to take full responsibility for delivery of the project in its entirety including a degree of tenant liaison to ensure that MVH tenants are aware of the works programme and are kept up to date with delivery progress.

The successful bidder(s) will be expected to deliver the works as a partner to MVH and take full responsibility for the end to end delivery of the project in addition to liaising with the nominated MVH project team to provide progress updates etc. It is anticipated that the works will begin in February 2020.

• Erect scaffolding to whole building

• Strip roof

• Felt and batten roof

• Fit new roof slates (Cambrian Slate)

• Remove scaffolding

Minimum standards and qualification required

MVH reserves the right, following review, to disqualify any bidder that it does not feel has the financial ability to deliver the proposed contract.

MVH reserves the right to enter into contract with the Parent Company

Bidders are required to review all appendix documents to this notice.
