Abstract
Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has to undertake a statutory process at the start of each financial year and issue the Taxpayer with a Council Tax Demand notice, and where applicable Benefit notifications. The Council has a very small window available to it from when the Council Tax has been approved by Full Council to processing and making the files available for an external mail house to process and mail the relevant documentation to the taxpayer.
The Council is seeking bids from capable and reputable providers for Council tax billing and mail services.

Description of the goods or services required
Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has to undertake a statutory process at the start of each financial year and issue the Taxpayer with a Council Tax Demand notice, and where applicable Benefit notifications. The Council has a very small window available to it from when the Council Tax has been approved by Full Council to processing and making the files available for an external mail house to process and mail the relevant documentation to the taxpayer.
