Title
Feasibility Study for South Wales Food Park
|
2.2
|
Description of the goods or services required
A project is being developed to evaluate the feasibility of building a food park to host food manufacturers in South East Wales. The food park would create jobs and contribute to the economic prosperity of the region.
This study is being commissioned by ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre, part of Cardiff Metropolitan University.
South east Wales would be an attractive location for food manufacturing businesses because of the good transport links, available labour and existing food businesses. In addition, the location benefits from proximity to a number of support providers.
It is envisaged that there will be a number of stages to this project. This tender is to provide support to ZERO2FIVE in the initial evaluation and early development stages of the proposed food park. The successful bidder must have strong experience in developing, researching and managing food parks throughout the UK. The successful bidder must be able to work collaboratively with a number of public and private sector partners. The successful bidder must also be willing and able to share experiences and best practise in the development and operation of food parks.
The successful bidder will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
