Description of the goods or services required
We are currently looking for industry experts to support a review of vocational qualifications in the Travel, Tourism, Leisure, Hospitality and Catering Sectors. Industry experts will help us to establish whether the qualifications awarded in Wales in this sector are fit for purpose.
Industry experts may be required to:
• Provide industry-specific advice and guidance;
• Identify and develop professional relationships with key stakeholders including employers;
• Formally engage with key stakeholders including employers to establish opinions relating to qualifications and skills within the sectors;
• Complete comprehensive written reports;
• Contribute to a technical review of specific qualifications;
• Contribute to the analysis of evidence from the review

Total quantity or scope of tender
Successful applicants will undertake specified work between March 2021 and June 2022 but will be awarded a contract for services which will run for a period of up to three years, with the option to extend it for a further year. The number and size of pieces of work commissioned will vary according the number and availability of experts and according to the skillsets which are offered. There is no guarantee of work under this contract.

Minimum standards and qualification required
Applicants should have:
• Proven knowledge and experience within the industries of Travel, Tourism, Leisure, Hospitality or Catering;
• An understanding of the key stakeholders within their specified industry across Wales;
• Experience or the ability to network and engage with key stakeholders including employers;
• An understanding of vocational learning and/or qualifications in their specified industry;
• A high level of communication and interpersonal skills;
• The ability to produce high quality written reports.
