Abstract

Research to identify: • How population groups identified by the CTM Regional Partnership Board Population Needs Assessment best receive and engage with information and activities that will help inform the sustainability and development of services • A recommended approach to engage and communicate with priority ‘groups living in Cwm Taf Morgannwg The Cwm Taf Morgannwg Regional Partnership Board is in the process of developing communications and engagement assets that will reach our target groups so they are well informed, can engage with the work of the RPB and understand what the RPB is aiming to achieve. We aspire to ensure our work is led by our communities, and we want to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to be involved with the work we do. We want our communities more engaged in the developments of the RPB and the work that we do. To do this effectively we need to find ways to communicate and engage with people who face barriers including disability; digital exclusion; poverty; literacy and language. We have already undertaken some work with the groups identified above to understand this. However there is a clear need to build on this, particularly around understanding how to reach people who are seldom heard. On behalf of the Regional Partnership Board we wish to commission an organization/s to engage with members of priority groups to determine how they would like to be engaged and how we can best support them to overcome barriers to engagement. PROJECT OUTPUTS: A detailed report on how the population group you are working with would like to receive communication and be engaged with, including an outline of the barriers this group currently faces, and recommendations on what could be put in place to remove these. . 3. Timescales The deadline for expression of interest is the 15th January 2021. The full report must be delivered by 31st March 2021. 4. Contact Arrangements The successful organisations will be required to liaise with Rebecca Goodhand, Communications and Engagement Lead for the CTM Regional Partnership Board throughout the duration of the contract. 5. Response Required The expression of interest must be no longer than one A4 side of paper and must include the following: 1. An understanding of the brief and what target group/s you plan to focus your research on (e.g. learning disabilities). 2. Proposed approach and methodology (must address how you will include representation from across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region to inform the report. 3. Provide an all-inclusive cost for the service which includes travel and any other expenses. Note: Part payment may be provided upfront (if required) with balance on receipt of final report. Organisation/s will be chosen on their response to the above criteria and note that there is no expectation that an organization will undertake the work for multiple priority groups however may wish to provide response to more than one group. 6. Contact Please contact Rebecca Goodhand on rebecca.goodhand@wales.nhs.uk with any questions.
